5 Fan Parks in Cape Town to View Matches

FIFA World Cup 2010 - Fan Park - Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Grand Parade in the centre of Cape Town will be the place to be if you haven't managed to get a ticket to the games. Fans will be able to watch the games live on large screens creating an excellent atmosphere as excited fans cheer on their respective teams. Grand Parade will have a capacity of 28,000 and will have pedestrianised walkways to all the main soccer attractions as well as linking up
to the V&A Waterfront.

These dedicated fan parks were a huge success in the last world cup in Germany with the soccer fans chanting and cheering while watching the thrilling games on the large screens.

The Grand Parade site is famous for being the venue at which Nelson Mandela held his first speech after being released from Robben Island prison in 1990. As well as showing the live games there will be entertainment before and after the matches.

Other Cape Town fan parks being considered are the Bellville Velodrome, Philippi Stadium and Athlone Stadium

I wonder if any will have 3D?
